    Before You Arrive

    • Check out mnstate.edu/housing for a listing of the amenities your assigned residence hall offers, items you may want to bring with you, items we ask that you leave at home, and other helpful information as you prepare for your arrival.
    • West Ballard Hall female wing and Holmquist Hall do not have elevators. Please plan and pack accordingly.
    • A limited amount of carts and dollies will be available at each residence hall. If you would like to ensure that you have one, please feel free to bring your own.


    When You Arrive

    • Move In Day MapPlease see Unloading Areas on the Move-In Day map for your hall.
      • After unloading, please move your vehicle to one of the locations listed on the Move-In Day Map Parking Areas to allow others to use the unloading areas.
    • MSUM will not be ticketing most spots during Move-In Day.
    • Go directly to your residence floor and head to your Resident Assistant’s room for your check-in paperwork and keys.
      • Once you have completed your Room Condition Report (RCR), return to your RA’s room to receive your keys and proceed to make your room your home!
    • MSUM volunteers will be available to assist you with moving until 3pm.
      • Volunteers will be wearing neon green Move-In shirts, Housing Staff shirts or MSUM gear with name tags identifying them as MSUM staff.
      • To ensure a safe and smooth Move-In Day, please be mindful of whom you give your belongings to.
      • If you have rented a loft from CSI Lofts, or would like to rent one, the company will be stationed in the G-7 Lot, north of Holmquist Hall. For more information on loft rental, visit www.csilofts.com or call 1-866-57LOFTS.


    After You Move-In

    • Meals will be available for purchase in Kise Commons for parents and guests; MSUM students need to bring their DragonID to eat in the dining center. Students may also use their guest passes for their parents and guests. Meals will also be provided for new students throughout Dragon Welcome Week.
    • Check in at the Welcome Tent located north of West Snarr Hall, south of the sand volleyball courts, to receive your Dragon Welcome Week packet.
