Medical Services

  • Trust your health to Hendrix Clinic and Counseling Center by making us your first stop for all non-emergency health needs. Conveniently located on campus, we offer a range of services to help you get healthy – and stay that way.

With experienced nurse practitioners and consulting physician on staff, we can diagnose and treat common illnesses and minor injuries, perform annual exams and physicals, administer immunizations, run routine lab tests and much more.

Same-day care is often available; appointments are recommended

We also provide referrals to other local health providers for services we don’t provide – such as X-rays; trauma and specialty care; surgery and other procedures; and long-term mental health needs. Charges at the referral site are the patient’s responsibility.

Routine exams are crucial to preventing many conditions, identifying diseases early and ensuring a healthy lifestyle. We perform annual exams as well as physical exams for general wellness, pre-op, athletic participation and more. Exams are available by appointment.

Emergency contraception – often referred to as “the morning-after pill” – is birth control that prevents pregnancy following unprotected sex or contraception failure. Two types of FDA-approved emergency contraceptive pills are available without a prescription through Hendrix Clinic: Ella and Plan B/Next Choice.

Minnesota law requires that all undergraduate students born after 1956 must be immunized against:

    • Tetanus, Diphtheria (Td, Tdap)
    • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR)

You can “self-report” your immunization dates online by visiting our online immunization form. Please provide two vaccination dates: a current dose of Tetanus (Td or Tdap) completed within the last 10 years and a dose of a MMR (measles, mumps, rubella).

If you aren’t able to find records of your immunizations, you may receive needed immunizations at your home clinic, your local public health facility or at Hendrix Clinic and Counseling Center.
