  • Greetings from MSUM Greek Life!

The MSUM Greek community is made up of members from two sororities, Delta Zeta and Gamma Phi Beta and two fraternities, Kappa Sigma and Sigma Tau Gamma. Both sororities are bonded by Panehellenic Association, which is a council of women from both Gamma Phi Beta and Delta Zeta. The council plans formal recruitment and brings both sororities together through scholarship and philanthropy. While Greek Life at MSUM isn't as large as some other state universities, it has a very positive effect on the campus, the students involved within the Greek Life organizations and the Fargo/Moorhead community. According to the National Panhellenic Conference, in the last year sorority women contributed 3,078,678 volunteer hours and $37,499,429 to their local and national philanthropies. The North-American Interfraternity Conference reported that Fraternity undergraduates served 3,800,000 hours in their local communities and raised $20,300,000 for philanthropic causes.

Greek Life offers students an unique opportunity to have a balanced college life with a focus on academic excellence, brotherhood/sisterhood, community service and responsible social interaction. Greek affiliation also allows students to make lasting friendships with individuals who share similar ideals and common purposes while creating a college experience that outlasts their time on campus.
