School of Teaching & Learning
The School of Teaching and Learning is accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) and provides a comprehensive undergraduate and graduate curriculum that spans early childhood, elementary, secondary and special education to prepare you with high-quality teaching skills and solid grounding in your chosen discipline.
The Early Education Center located on MSUM’s campus is a great way to experience an early education environment just steps away from your classrooms. You’ll have the opportunity to interact with children ages 16 months to 5 years old as they explore and learn about themselves and participate in activities designed to promote their emotional, social and physical growth.
MSUM’s School of Teaching and Learning is accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP). In addition, the Minnesota Board of Teaching approves all teacher education licensure programs at MSUM.
The Elementary Inclusive Education undergraduate degree is now fully offered online. Additionally, several courses needed to complete Special Education licensure requirements are offered online and during summer sessions, making it possible to complete requirements in a timely manner.
You’ll spend more than 200 hours observing and teaching in classrooms during your practicum experiences, allowing you to learn firsthand what a career in education involves.
