  • Benefits of an MSUM School of Teaching & Learning Degree
The Early Education Center located on MSUM’s campus is a great way to experience an early education environment just steps away from your classrooms. You’ll have the opportunity to interact with children ages 16 months to 5 years old as they explore and learn about themselves and participate in activities designed to promote their emotional, social and physical growth.
MSUM’s School of Teaching and Learning is accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE). In addition, the Minnesota Board of Teaching approves all teacher education licensure programs at MSUM.
Several courses needed to complete Special Education licensure requirements are offered online and during summer sessions, making it possible to complete requirements in a timely manner.
You’ll spend more than 200 hours observing and teaching in classrooms during your practicum experiences, allowing you to learn firsthand what a career in education involves.
MSUM education graduates boast 100 percent career related placement.
The education learning community gives you the opportunity to live and learn with other first-year education majors.
