Small class sizes, outstanding faculty advising, and personal, one-on-one attention provide you with an exceptional learning environment. You’ll gain experience in faculty-mentored research projects, attend an alumni panel and workshop, and have the opportunity to join student organizations that will enhance your education outside of the classroom. Work hard. We’ll mentor you. Succeed.
The Economic Society is MSUM’s economic club. The student organization meets one a month to discuss economic issues, volunteer on campus and in the community, and attend economics and business-related events around the region. The Economic Society also holds a variety of professional and social activities that allow you to learn more about economics and engage in networking opportunities.
MSU Moorhead’s Student Academic Conference (SAC) provides an opportunity for student researchers to present their work to faculty, administration, peers and the community in a formal academic setting each April. You’ll have the chance to present your hard work in a variety of ways—panel discussions, workshops, multimedia presentations, displays and demonstrations—and gather constructive feedback to help you better analyze and continue exploration.
At MSUM, we take great pride in research opportunities offered to students. Economics majors present at the annual Student Academic Conference and compete at the national level in both research presented to national audiences and research published in peer-reviewed undergraduate journals. For more about research opportunities, contact your academic advisor.
