Apply for Accessibility Resources Services

  • If you have a disability, we encourage you to visit with us personally to discuss your needs and to receive services. We are here to assist you in making the most out of your MSUM education. To best understand your needs, current documentation that addresses the functional limitations imposed by your disability is essential.

    Eligibility for Services

    To receive services from Accessibility Resources, you must be a registered student at MSU Moorhead and have a disability recognized under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Verification of a disability must be provided before receiving services from Accessibility Resources.

    If you are requesting accommodations due to a temporary health condition such as injury, surgery or a short-term medical condition, such as pregnancy, broken wrist or concussion. Unlike accommodations for ongoing disability conditions, accommodations for temporary medical conditions are not required to be provided by disability law. Temporary accommodations are provided as a courtesy service of the university. If you have specific questions related to temporary accommodations, please contact the Director of Accessibility Resources.

    Steps to Apply

    1. Apply and be accepted to Minnesota State University Moorhead.
    2. Review the Rights and Responsibilities of Students with Disabilities Regarding Access to Minnesota State University Moorhead.
    3. Complete the Request for Accommodations Form.
    4. Provide acceptable documentation of your disability according to the Documentation Guidelines.
    5. The Office of Accessibility Resources will contact you via email and/or phone to schedule an introductory meeting with the Director of Accessibility Resources.
