MSUM offers a variety of Paralegal scholarships for current and incoming students. Scholarships are listed below. Students can apply for university scholarships through the online scholarship application October 1-February 1.
This scholarship is designated for students who will be juniors or seniors for fall 2020 and/or spring 2021 academic year in the Paralegal Program who will be returning in the fall following the application. The student must be enrolled in the Paralegal Program at the time the application is made and must be enrolled in at least one course (3 credits) at the time of disbursement the fall semester following the application.
Non-traditional students - those that have more than one summer between high school and college, or an interruption in their college education are strongly encouraged to apply.
Students who have overcome obstacles to reach their goals, including significant family, work or other responsibilities in addition to their commitment to excellence in school are strongly encouraged to apply.
Financial need is determined through the FAFSA. If you have not completed a FAFSA already, you can do so at www.fafsa.gov. FAFSA results must be received by the application deadline date.
- Attach an essay on how you have demonstrated the ability to overcome obstacles to reach your goals, such as significant
family, work or other responsibilities, in addition to your commitment to excellence in school.
- Attach your DARs. Verification of non-traditional student is required.
Other Scholarship Opportunities
There are several professional paralegal association awards available for students. Eligibility for these awards varies and often involves completion of application materials and an essay. Receiving an award from one of these organizations is a great honor and our program has had successful applicants for these awards.
