Paralegal Learning Opportunities
There are several learning opportunities available to Paralegal students at Minnesota State University Moorhead. Experiential learning gives you the chance to network with others who have similar interests, explore paralegal careers and develop essential leadership and communication skills.
Students in PARA 416: Elder Law will assist real clients in drafting an advance healthcare directive as part of their education.
Not all Paralegal programs are created equal. As an American Bar Association approved four-year degree program, MSUM’s required internship will help you gain valuable, real-world experience to prepare you for your future.
Lamba Epsilon Chi (LEX) is the national honor society founded by the American Association for Paralegal Education. MSUM has one of more than 170 chapters in the United States.
The Minnesota State Paralegal Association Moorhead (MSPAM) is open to all declared Paralegal majors at MSUM. You’ll meet monthly to develop lasting friendships, professional relationships and positive leadership skills. MSPAM activities include:
- Hosting speakers and programs
- Networking with legal professionals in the community
- Increasing leadership skills through service projects
- Planning social activities with your peers and professors
