Gerontology Careers & Outcomes
The elderly population in the United States is steadily growing, creating a rapidly increasing demand for professionals with knowledge and expertise in aging. By 2030, one in five Americans will be over the age of 65, and 15 to 18 million people will be over age 85. Because the needs of older persons are varied and great, MSUM gerontology graduates work closely with professionals from other disciplines to provide programs and services.
