Biology Scholarships
A variety of scholarships are targeted specifically if you major in Biology and Life Science Education. You can apply for scholarships through the online scholarship application.
Scholarship applications open October 1 and close February 1.
Eligibility:
- Applicants must declare a Biosciences major
- Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0, unless otherwise stated
- Applicants should be enrolled at MSUM for the upcoming academic year
This scholarship is awarded to students who will be of sophomore or junior standing in the fall of the next academic year. Students must demonstrate research and leadership skills, have departmental involvement, have a willingness to participate in a departmental seminar, and have a minimum GPA of 3.0.

This scholarship is awarded to full-time, outstanding senior students who are majoring in Biology.

This scholarship is awarded to senior students who have demonstrated exceptional academic achievement in biology and show excellent promise of continuing in a career in the biological sciences.

This scholarship is awarded to sophomore, junior or senior students with a minimum GPA of 3.5.

This scholarship is awarded to full-time, senior students who are majoring in a degree offered by the Biosciences Department. The student must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and be involved in research with a faculty mentor during the time the scholarship is awarded. The student must present the results of the research at the SAC or another disciplinary conference. Students should also demonstrate interest in artistic expression of biological or environmental concepts.

This scholarship is awarded to an upperclass student who is majoring in Biology.

This scholarship is awarded to full-time, junior or senior students who are majoring in Bioscience, Chemistry, or Biotechnology and demonstrate financial need. Students should have a superior aptitude for a productive professional career.
Financial need is determined through the FAFSA. If you have not completed a FAFSA already, you can do so at studentaid.gov.

This scholarship is awarded to full-time students who are pursuing a degree in Biology and/or Chemistry.

This scholarship is awarded to full-time, senior students who are majoring in Biological, Physical, or Earth Science Education and have outstanding potential for contributing to the field of Science Education.
Students majoring in Health or Physical Education are NOT eligible to receive this Scholarship.
