I primarily teach in the graduate program in School Psychology here at MSU Moorhead. For more information about the School Psychology Program, please click on the links at the left.

The courses I teach in the School Psychology Program include Psy 601 Foundations of School Psychology, Psy 622 Assessment/Intervention II: Special Populations and the concurrent practicum, Psy 642: Practicum I, Psy 723: Assessment/Intervention III: Early Childhood and Psy 701: Issues in School Psychology. In addition, I supervise internship students during fall semester. Occasionally, I also teach an undergraduate psychology class, such as Psy 481: Seminar.

I am originally from Brainerd, MN. I received my undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, and then completed my Master's degree and PhD in school psychology from the University of Minnesota. I then spent 5 years as a school psychologist in an educational cooperative in northern Iowa before coming to MSU Moorhead.

My professional interests tend to be in areas of professional practice issues, including issues such as assessment practices, legal and ethical issues in education, diversity and anti-racism at both the k-12 and higher education levels. Personally, I take advantage of travel opportunities whenever I can.
