Become a Mentee in the Professional Management Mentor Program

Mentors can help students develop greater self-awareness, provide honest and constructive feedback and expose them to global supply chain management, project management or operations management and other industry work environments. They can also encourage them to achieve their goals.

The MSUM Professional Management Mentor Program connects global supply chain management, operations management and project management students to an experienced professional who is eager to serve as a resource for personal and professional development. The mentor will help build a student’s professional network by providing guidance on enrichment opportunities for co-op, internship or full-time positions. Above all, mentors will listen and help chart a student’s personal plan for success.

The Professional Management Mentor Program includes training sessions, one-on-one guidance from an experienced professional and invitations to networking events.

Participants must commit to:

  • Being involved for a minimum of two academic years (August-May)
  • Participating in regular monthly meetings with a Mentor
  • Attending one student mentee training session
  • Notifying the Professional Management Mentor Program Director of any challenges
