History, Languages, Critical Race & Women's Studies Department Scholarships

MSUM Department of History, Languages, Critical Race & Women's Studies offers a variety of american multicultural studies, history, languages and cultures, spanish education and women's and gender studies scholarships for current and incoming students. Scholarships are listed below. Students can apply for university scholarships through the online scholarship application October 1-February 1.

Full time History major with a 3.0 GPA or higher.

No additional requirements needed

Students majoring in History or Social Studies who are in good academic standing.

Attach a copy of your current transcript or DARS (both available on eServices for MSUM students).

Students enrolled in continuing education or foreign language programs.  Preferably is a member of Delta Pi Delta.

Students in the Women's and Gender Studies program in good academic standing.

Upper class students with a good academic record who demonstrate leadership in the community and on campus are eligible for this award.

The Mildred E. Treumann-Sylvia Morgan Scholarship in Women's and Gender Studies is for women who are seeking a major or minor in Women's and Gender Studies.  Scholarship will be awarded to juniors or above on the basis of academic excellence and service to the women's community locally.

Minnesota Teacher Shortage Student Loan Repayment Program

Additionally, the Minnesota Office of Higher Education has a program to provide loan payment assistance for up to $5,000 for teachers who obtain a license and teach in an area identified as experiencing a shortage of teachers.
