History, Languages, Critical Race & Women's Studies Department Courses & Curriculum

The MSUM History, Languages, Critical Race and Women’s Studies Department provides several major course offerings, creating an inherently interdisciplinary program of study. The East Asian Studies major draws courses from Chinese, Japanese, history and humanities that will allow you to understand the culture and languages found in Asia, an area of historical and current importance in business and trade. Women’s and Gender Studies likewise draws from multiple programs across the campus, including courses from science, history and literature. Adding a minor or major in Spanish, History, Teaching English as a Foreign Language or Women’s and Gender Studies, among others, will provide essential understandings of your coworkers, employees and neighbors that can directly impact your likelihood of success in later years.
