MSUM’s Student Affairs team embraces a holistic, student-centered approach to supporting all students. Our goal is to provide learning experiences that allow you to develop and contribute to your community now and in the future. We are committed to meeting you where you are and providing opportunities to grow and reach your full potential throughout your college experience.
We promise to help you engage in healthy, inclusive, real-world experiences that equip you for life long after graduation.
Our goal is to provide you a wide variety of leadership opportunities to grow personally and professionally, including leadership-focused training such as Emerging Leaders Program, Dragon Leadership Program, NEW Leadership Development Institute and a Leadership Learning Community, among many other outlets to develop your skills.
The Dean of Students Office oversees specialized areas that promote a supportive and socially responsible campus community, advocate for the needs of students, encourage student accountability, and provide critical response services and conflict resolution. You’ll find help with accessibility resources, student conduct, Title IX, health and counseling and the MSUM CARE Team.
More than anything, we focus relentlessly on your achievement and return on investment. We continuously refine strategies to optimize your experience across experiential learning and co-curricular activities. Whether it’s starting you out in a Learning Community, guiding you through the First Year Experience, or providing academic and career support, we’re committed to your success every day you’re a Dragon.
Parents and families are an important part of your life, and we commit to maximizing student and family engagement throughout your time at MSUM. You and your loved ones can be a part of signature events and traditions such as Family Weekend or Homecoming.
