2008-2009
Eligibility
The Mildred E. Treumann-Sylvia Morgan Scholarship in Women's Studies is for womenwho are seeking a major or minor in Women's Studies. Candidates must meet the following criteria for eligibility:
§ Be maintaining a 3.0 GPA or better in Women's Studies courses
§ Have completed or be currently enrolled in at least 50 credits
§ Have completed at least 6 credits of Women's Studies courses (core courses or electives)
§ Must be a declared Women's Studies major or minor
Criteria for Selecting Recipients
The Women's Studies Committee on the basis of the following criteria will choose recipients of the award:
· Academic excellence
· Contributions on or off campus to women's equality, which may include but is not limited to volunteer work for agencies such as Rape and Abuse Crisis Center, Women's Network of the Red River Valley, MSUM Women's Center, Campus Feminist Organization, or MSUM NARAL Organization.
Amount of Award
The Women's Studies Committee will determine the amount of this award annually based on available funds and on their assessment of the applicant.

Candidates must provide the Women's Studies Committee with the following:
· A completed application form
· Unofficial transcript
· Two letters of recommendation from members of the MSUM faculty, including at least one member of the Women's Studies affiliated faculty (list available at www.mnstate.edu/women/faculty2.htm)
