As a women’s studies major you will study academic fields such as politics, society and history from both a humanistic and multicultural women's perspective. The major critiques and examines cultural and societal views on gender, race, class, sexuality, and other social inequalities. A degree in women’s studies opens the door to a very large selection of career possibilities, such as administrative positions in women’s organizations, including shelters for battered women, organizations such as the YWCA, human rights/health/human services fields, and education.
