Students must complete a minimum of six credits in the Arts and Humanities Area six credits in Multicultural/Global Perspectives Area, and six credits in the Social and Natural Sciences Area. At least nine of these credits must be at the upper division level. Courses listed in related requirements but not applied in a related requirement concentration area may be used for restricted elective credits. No course can count in both related requirements and restricted electives.

Students may use ENGL 248 or MC 496 only when topic relates to Women’s and Gender Studies content and CJ 400 only when the topic is “Women and Crime.” Students must select 12 credits of electives from this list in addition to the courses used for the core and related requirements. Many of the courses are cross-listed with WS and the Department.
