PROGRAM INFORMATION
PRE-OPTOMETRY PROGRAM AT MSUM:
The pre-optometry program at Minnesota State University Moorhead (MSUM) is designed to prepare students for their professional education at a college of optometry. Most pre-optometry students complete a B.A. Degree in Biology with a Health and Medical Sciences Emphasis before going on to the professional school. Generally the admission requirements for the colleges of optometry include a year each of English, mathematics (to include calculus and statistics), biology, general chemistry and general physics with additional requirements in psychology, organic chemistry, biochemistry and advanced biology.
