Create the following frequency distributions with the Excel spreadsheet. Use a seperate worksheet for each problem. An Excel file is called a workbook and each workbook consists of 1 or more worksheets.
Using the collected Ed 602 class data (See Lesson 2 Assignment for the data)
You may encounter difficulty in entering slash marks in the tally column of your frequency distribution. You can get around this by entering a space before you enter the tally mark.
You may wish to adjust the column widths of selected columns in your frequency distribution. To do this, move the cursor (mouse) to the right side of the column heading you wish to change (the lettered column heads), observe that the cursor changes to a double arrow, depress the mouse button and with the button depressed move the margin of the column to the left or right to make the column smaller or larger.
You may also wish to change the alignment of the contents of the Siblings column as well as the column heading (Siblings). To do this click on the cell with Siblings in it and drag down through the values in the column to select them. Then select Cells from the Format menu. In the Format Cells window that opens click on the Alignment tab then click on the double arrow under Horizontal and select center. Click on OK to close the window and complete the process. You may wish to do the same thing with the Frequency column.
Save each of these as a seperate sheet in a single workbook. You may wish to print these out so that you can see what they look like printed out but send them to your instructor as a file. To do this, send electronic mail to wassonj@teleport.com and indicate that you are sending in Ed 602 Assignment 3 and then attach the spreadsheet file to your email message.
