WorldCat™ contains more than 41 million records describing items owned by your library and libraries around the world. Each record identifies libraries that own the title. WorldCat™ is created by more than 8,000 libraries worldwide and describes books, sound recordings, videotapes, musical scores, computer data files, computer programs, films and slides, journals, magazines, manuscripts, maps, and newspapers. Records describe materials that date from about 1,000 B.C.E. to the present; new records are added daily.

The OCLC NetFirst® Database

NetFirst® is an authoritative database of Internet-accessible resources. A practical, easy-to-use tool for Internet exploration and discovery, NetFirst® provides records that include URL links to the information they describe for instant access. NetFirst® contains bibliographic citations, complete with summary descriptions and subject headings that describe resources such as Web pages, interest groups, library catalogs, FTP sites, Internet services, Gopher sites, electronic lists, electronic journals, and newsletters. Records contain location information that can be used to connect users to resources of interest. NetFirst® is updated continually, and records are verified regularly to make sure the item is still available on the Internet.

The OCLC ArticleFirst® Database

ArticleFirst® describes items listed on the table of contents pages of individual issues of nearly 13,000 journals. Each record describes one article, news story, letter, or other item from a journal. Most records provide a list of libraries that hold the journal title. Subjects include business, the humanities, medicine, popular culture, science, social sciences, and technology. New records are added daily.

The OCLC ContentsFirst® Database

ContentsFirst® contains the complete table of contents pages from individual issues of nearly 13,000 journals. Most of these journals are published in English, but journals in other languages are included also. Subjects include business, the humanities, medicine, popular culture, science, social science, and technology. Covers January 1990 to the present for most journals; covers July 1992 or January 1994 to the present for some journals. Adds new records daily.

OCLC FirstSearch® Electronic Collections Online™ Database

OCLC FirstSearch® Electronic Collection Online™ is an index to a growing collection of journals (currently more than 2,400) in a variety of subject areas including science, medicine, technology, economics, management, other social sciences, and the humanities. The interface supports cross-journal searching and browsing within selected journals. Users can view bibliographic information for all journals and view abstracts and full-text articles from journals to which their institutions subscribe. ERIC -- U. S. Department of Education Database

Educational Resources Information Center (ERIC), produced by the U.S.Department of education, has represented the most complete bibliography of educational materials available since 1966. The ERIC database is a guide to published and unpublished sources on thousands of educational topics, with information from RIE (Resources in Education) and CIJE (Current Index to Journals in Education). CIJE covers over 1,000 journals.
