Jim Anderson - Dragon Transfer Connection Advisor

Greetings from Minnesota State University Moorhead!  I work in the MSUM Admissions Office as an Assistant Director/Transfer Specialist.  My job is to help new transfer students make a smooth transition into the University.  In this capacity, I travel to regional community colleges to visit with prospective students, meet with transfer students during on-campus visits, maintain transfer equivalency guides, and conduct registration programs for new transfer students throughout the year.

One of my favorite responsibilities is to serve as advisor to the Dragon Transfer Connection.  The DTC is a student organization dedicated to the notion that current transfer students can be the best resource for new transfers coming into the University.  Some of the activities that DTC members are involved with include:  helping at orientation, transfer registration program assistance, social activities, leadership building activities, and serving as an informational resource.
