Auditions for Wonderland

Auditions are scheduled for September 22, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The Sign-up sheet for a two-minute audition slot will be available on the Call Board.

Wonderland is about the adventures of three contemporary elementary-school aged children who find themselves lost in the Wonderland originally imagined by Lewis Carroll.  The play will have the following characters…

Three children: Alice, Tina, and Trevor
Wonderland Characters: The White Rabbit, The Mad Hatter, The March Hare, The Dormouse, Tweedledum, Tweedledee, Humpty Dumpty, The Queen of Hearts, The Two of Hearts, The Three of Hearts, and The Four of Hearts

(Wonderland Characters will also double as a group of school children with their library teacher.)

The play will be double cast.  Performances are tentatively scheduled for November 14 to November 24, with weekday performances scheduled at 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.  Student casts will be scheduled so that students will not miss any one class for the full-length of the run.

Actors who sign-up for an audition should be prepared to introduce themselves, deliver a 30 second to 1 minute monologue, and answer any questions the director might have for them.  The monologue should be broadly theatrical and very directly focused out into the audience.  Actors should consider the importance of projecting a character to the back rows of the Hansen Theatre.
