What to prepare:
A 60-second audition package including ONE comedic monologue, preferably from or related to children’s theatre.
You will be asked to stop if you go over the prescribed time.

Short synopsis:
The classic tale of Pinocchio comes to life again with some new twists! The old toy maker, Geppetto nearing the end of his life wishes he could have someone to share his final moments with. When the Blue fairy hears his wish, she casts her magic into a block of wood, and Pinocchio comes to life! It is now Pinocchio’s wish to someday become a real boy. But this is no easy task, for the Lies, a group of mischievous creatures are out to make sure Pinocchio never becomes real. Follow Pinocchio and as he journeys to the Marionette Theatre, Pleasure Land, and the inside of a fish! This magical adventure is full of comedy, dance and bold characters perfect for the stage.
Casting notes:
- Pinocchio, a wooden Marionette that wishes to be a real boy
- Geppetto, An old generous toy maker, the father of Pioncchio
- The Blue Fairy, A large, not-so-dainty fairy who helps Pinocchio on his journey.
- The Lies, a group of nasty, evil, mischievous creatures out to have fun and be bad.
- Narrator, the storyteller of the play.
- Ensemble
