Short synopsis:
Prince Hamlet is the son of the late King Hamlet of Denmark. After King Hamlet's death, his brother, Claudius, becomes King and marries King Hamlet's widow, Gertrude, Queen of Denmark. Young Hamlet fears that Claudius killed his own brother to become King, - the suspicion of it causes Hamlet to act in unusual ways towards his family, friends and his love interest, Ophelia, daughter to Claudius’ advisor Polonius. Claudius, his wife Gertrude, and Polonius send Hamlet’s friends, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, to spy on Hamlet and figure out what might be wrong with him. Ophelia’s father, and brother Laertes encourage Ophelia to stay away from Hamlet, fearing his unusual moods. Hamlet devises a plot with his friend Horatio involving a traveling acting troupe to catch Claudius in his guilt. Meanwhile, Claudius devises a plot with Laertes to do away with Hamlet. Who will prevail?
