• Your internship will increase your employability more than any one other thing you do while enrolled at MSUM. Do not narrow your choices, as this internship will often lead to employment offers at graduation.
• Your internship experience will almost assuredly be one of the highlights of your collegiate years. The opportunity to apply knowledge you have learned in class while interacting with business professionals in a learning environment can be most valuable and should be researched and planned for.
• Contact your faculty advisor to begin your planning process for seeking an internship. Each student's plan is unique to them and you will need to start contacting employers six months before your beginning internship date.
• Industrial Technology majors-Subscribe to the Industrial Technology list serve to receive current internship and job listings.
• Listed below are examples of company sites where students in the past have made initial contact for internships. These are provided to assist you in beginning your research. Please review several Internet sites before meeting with your advisor.
