The first graduating class of The
Operations Management 2+2 Degree graduated in May of 2000. (see student success tab) We have found the
OM students to be very successful in their job hunts. The OM graduate's job search typically falls into one of the following three situations.
-
The
Operations Management graduate will find a position that directly utilizes their AAS technical orientation. This is especially true of the computer technology graduates, however most will apply at companies that accept team leader or management applications from individuals with earned BS degrees.
-
Another group will broaden their search to include jobs and companies such as those listed in the student placement tabs in Industrial Distribution and Management tabs on this web site. It is our belief that all of MSU Moorhead's Industrial Technology graduates are prepared to succeed in those types of positions listed.
-
About one-fourth of the
Operations Management students have selected Operations Management to improve their career growth with their current employer. Working with the incumbent workforce is a goal of this program. These students typically remain with their employer and we have seen several recent
OM grads make positive career moves at their company.
