Members of the University community are
expected to be familiar with the rules and procedures contained
within this handbook. This publication provides general guidance and
direction and is not intended to cover every conceivable situation.
The information about university policies outlines the rights,
responsibilities, and privileges enjoyed by the students, faculty,
and staff that make up the University community. The purpose of
MSUM’s policies is to promote and maintain the University learning
environment, inform University members of their responsibilities,
and aid in preventing violations of the rights of individuals.
Specific questions relating to policies and
procedures, and interpretations of specific sections within the
Handbook, should be directed to the University Judicial Officer at 477.2174 or the Vice President of Student
Affairs at 477.2171.
Because policies are subject to change,
revisions that occur will be updated on the MSUM website and will
have priority over the contents of the printed edition.
This handbook will be made available in
alternative formats by calling 477.5859 (voice) or 1.800.627.3529 (MRS/TTY).
