The Mathematics Learning Center, located in MacLean 276, offers drop-in tutoring for students enrolled in Elementary Algebra (Math 090), Intermediate Algebra (Math 099), and College Algebra (Math 127). The Mathematics Learning Center is open six hours a day, four days a week and has four to six tutors on staff. The Center also has times available for general tutoring. The daily schedule is available on the web.

Peer advisors are available to advise freshmen and assist with the registration process during Dragon Days. They also maintain the Peer Advisor Center in FR 155 during the academic year. They answer academic questions as well as questions about University services and procedures. Bulletins, class schedules, and various registration forms are available at the Peer Advisor Center. Peer advisors are selected jointly each spring semester by their major departments and the Advising Support Center. Interested students with above average GPAs may apply to their department chairperson or to the Peer Advisors’ Office, FR 155, 2282.

The Write Site is a writing resource center for MSUM students. The Write Site tutors provide individualized attention to meet your unique writing needs. Although tutors do not write papers for you, some common problems the Write Site can help you with include development of ideas, organization of a paper, basic writing skills, introductory and closing statements, punctuation, and spelling.
