Lisa Habedank Stewart (Ph.D in School Psychology, 1994, University of Oregon), a native Minnesotan, earned her Ph.D. in school psychology from the University of Oregon, where she also was a Visiting Assistant Professor in the School Psychology program. She moved back to Minnesota in 1995 and was an Assistant Professor in the MSUM School Psychology program for two years, followed by two years as a school psychologist for the Fergus Falls Special Education Cooperative. She returned to MSUM in 1999-00. She has published several journal articles and book chapters, and regularly presents at state and national conferences. Her areas of research interest include reintegration of students with disabilities into regular classrooms, curriculum-based assessment, and designing and evaluating academic interventions.
Dr. Stewart currently lives in Pelican Rapids, MN with her husband (Cooper). She has two children : Jenell-21 and Neacail ("Cail")-19 and is in the process of adopting an infant girl from China (see website for more info on the adoption at http://www.caringbridge.org/mn/stew ). She enjoys canoeing, skiing, backpacking, biking and just about any other kind of outdoor activity.
