Special Education Program Goals
To implement current state and national special education standards, to develop highly qualified special education professionals.
To continue and maintain support of linguistically and culturally diverse candidates and faculty in the special education program.
To create formal and informal partnerships with agencies who provide services to families and individuals with disabilities.
To collaborate with other MSUM departments and programs.
To continue ongoing development of the undergraduate, graduate, and licensure programs.
To utilize assessment and apply the information, to maintain standards-based criteria and competency-based evaluations systems for the special education program.
