I am the department chair one of the largest graduate programs in the country that is ranked in the top 10% of all accredited SLP programs. My professional specialty area is speech sound disorders in children; I have over 20 peer-reviewed publications, over 40 peer-reviewed presentations, and have presented workshops in 24 different states as well as in Germany and Australia.

She is Co-Owner of Progressive Therapy Associates. She received her Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Minnesota State University Moorhead in Moorhead, MN. Her specialties include cognitive-communication treatment for individuals with traumatic brain injury, stroke, encephalitis, and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. Janet also specializes in the Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT), an innovative and clinically-proven method for improving voice and speech in individuals with Parkinson disease.

My primary role is to provide cognitive-communication treatment for the adult population. This involves addressing areas of impairment such as attention, memory, executive functioning, and language through use of treatment tasks and development of functional strategies so the individual can succeed.

Associate Professor/Graduate Coordinator of Speech-Language Pathology Program, MSUM, Moorhead, MN
I am on the teaching and clinical faculty in the Speech/Language/Hearing Sciences department at MSUM, primarily in the area of adult neurogenic communication and swallowing disorders. Overseeing research projects and thesis students is also a rewarding part of my position. In addition, I enjoy working closely with students as the Graduate Coordinator.
