Yellow Fever

From Bob Arnebeck:

"The site is built around my own on-line book, a reexamination of Benjamin Rush's performance during the epidemics. Although it is difficult to get beyond the 1793 epidemic, I did take Rush's story up to his victory in his libel suit against Cobbett. I also put several primary documents on the site and plan to add more, including portions of Rush's account of the 1793 epidemic, the completeaccount of the 1799 epidemic and, soon to come, the complete account of the 1798 epidemic. That later epidemic has never really caught on with historians, so now I am going to try to concentrate on primary documents about that Year of the Great Epidemic, and also more documents on epidemics in other cities. At the moment I have portions of accounts of the Baltimore and New Haven epidemics of 1794, and the New York epidemic of 1795."
