Archive of Americana
Readex has recently launched a new digital resource titled Archive of Americana.
The cornerstone of the Archive of Americana is Early American Imprints, Series I: Evans (1639-1800), based on Charles Evans' historic "American Bibliography."
The collection has long served as a foundation set for research involving early American history, literature, philosophy, religion, and more.
Early American Imprints, Series II: Shaw-Shoemaker (1801-1819) is a continuation of the "American Bibliography."
Early American Newspapers (1690-1876) complements both series of Early American Imprints and beyond, and is based on Clarence Brigham's "History and Bibliography of American Newspapers, 1690-1820."
All three early American collections are produced in cooperation with the American Antiquarian Society and its world-renowned library of American history, literature and culture through 1876.
