  • American Literature Association Annual Conference: San Francisco, May 22-25, 2008. The Society of Early Americanists will sponsor 4 SEA sessions at the ALA. Please click here for more information.

  • SEA’s 6th Biennial Conference will be held 4-7 March 2009 in Hamilton, Bermuda, to mark the 400th anniversary of the wreck of the Sea Venture, flagship of the Jamestown Third Supply voyage, which initiated the permanent settlement of Bermuda--the second permanent English colony in America.   • The Third Early Ibero/Anglo Americanist Summit: “Early American Borderlands,” St. Augustine, Florida, 6-9 May 2010. Further information and a call for panels and papers will follow in the spring of 2009.
