Brent Halverson

Patrol-Police Officer, Fargo Police Department, Fargo, ND
I work evening shift for the Fargo Police Department in patrol. I respond to calls for service, provide proactive patrols, and traffic enforcement. The Fargo Police Department is an excellent department to work for. They are dedicated to quality service and the professional growth and training of their officers.
Deric Swenson

Patrol Sergeant, Moorhead PoliceDepartment, Moorhead, MN
I spent 3 years as a patrol officer, 5 years working primarily in the Moorhead Schools as the DARE Officer, and in 2008 was promoted to the rank of Sergeant, which is the shift supervisor. I am also the line supervisor for the School Resource. I am also a SWAT Negotiator for the Red River Valley SWAT Team, the department liaison for the Moorhead Human Rights Commission, and serve on many other committees. Prior to being in employed with the Moorhead Police, while attending my final two years at MSUM I worked as a Paramedic. I am also contracted yearly by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension as a DARE Officer Trainer for Officers going through the two-week training program.
Jeff Nelson

School Resource Officer, Moorhead Police, Moorhead, MN
I have been with the Moorhead Police Department since 1994. I am currently assigned to the position of School Resource Officer at Horizon Middle School. My basic day involves working with students on topics from stolen items to family issues. I also assist with crisis planning and management. I continue to work with the police department assisting with calls for service. I also am assigned as a firearms instructor, active shooter instructor and a F.A.T.S. (Fire Arms Training Simulator) instructor.
