What is sociology?
Sociology is one of the social sciences.   It is one of the academic disciplines which attempts to understand the human being.  More specifically, sociology is an attempt to understand:
                The human being as a social being. 
                The social interaction of people.
                The social organization of people.
                The meaning of society, its origins, its impact on the individual,
                and its institutions.
                Social problems.
