MSUM SIGNS STUDENT/FACULTY EXCHANGE AGREEMENT WITH CHONGQING TECHNOLOGY AND BUSINESS UNIVERSITY
Minnesota State University Moorhead President Roland Barden signed a student/faculty exchange agreement with President Wang Chongju of Chongqing Technology and Business University, China, Thursday, Oct. 25 at 10:30 a.m. in the University’s Center for Business.
This will be MSUM’s second formal exchange agreement with a Chinese university. It has had an exchange program with Nankai University for more than 20 years, and has formal exchange agreements with 14 other universities.
This exchange agreement will give students an opportunity for a cultural experience that prepares them for a global economy, and will nurture academic and research collaborations among faculty.
Chongqing Technology and Business University (CTBU), located in Chongquing (population: 6 million, and capital of a province of 31 million) or “Yu” for short, is a multidisciplinary university offering undergraduate and graduate courses, mainly in economics, management, arts and literature, engineering, law and science. It employs more than 1,700 professors, teachers and support staff and enrolls more than 20,000 students.
CTBU has more than 20 university partners abroad, including campuses in Canada, Australia, France, Hong Kong, Japan, Egypt and Sweden, among others.
