The School of Business maintains the prestigious AACSB International accreditation for excellence in business education, a distinction held by less than five percent of the world’s business schools. As one of the leading business programs in the region, its curriculum consists of a unique blend of theoretical and practical, real-world insights taught in state-of-the-art multimedia classrooms and computer labs.
The majority of faculty holds the highest academic degree available in their discipline, and many routinely provide consulting services to businesses or provide professional services to the community on an ad-hoc, volunteer basis. Students gain relevant business experience outside the classroom by participating in such organizations as Beta Gamma Sigma, the Dragon Business Association and the Tri-College Student Human Resources Association, and by securing valuable internship experience through a wealth of options within the area’s vibrant business community. Students graduate from the program with strong business aptitude, leadership skills, networking insights and real-world experience, preparing them for successful professional business careers.
Dr. Sheri Erickson and Dr. Mary Stone, faculty in the School of Business, have a paper accepted for publication. Their paper, “First Year Experience Course: Insights From The First Two Years,” will be published in an upcoming edition of the American Journal of Business Education.
