MSUM Safe Zone/GLBTQ Resource Center
"The center has resource books and copies of Lavender magazine, the Chicago Free Press, High Plains Reader, Lavender's Power Pages, and others. Feel free to stop by and take a look. There is also a computer with internet access for doing homework or research. Students, faculty, and staff are welcome to stop by to study, do homework, check out our resource material, or just hang out and chat!"

The resources center is located on the campus of Minnesota State University Moorhead in the Women's Center, Bridges 150. The center is open Monday-Friday 9am-4:30pm. For questions, please contact Anita Bender at (218) 477-4973 or by email at benderan@mnstate.edu.


GLSEN - Red River Valley
The Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network strives to assure that each member of every school community is valued and respected regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity/expression.

Queer Talk
Queer Talk takes places on the MSUM campus. Come and share experiences, ask questions, and learn more about yourself, others, and the LGBTQ community in a safe environment. The main focus of Queer Talk is college-age students, but all are welcome.

QUEST Support Group at NDSU
A support group for NDSU students (all students are also welcome) who are questioning their sexual orientation or are in the beginning of the coming-out process. Facilitated by Counseling and Disability Services at NDSU.

Safe Space Program at Concordia
"The purpose of the Safe Space Program is to make the Concordia College campus a safer and freer environment for all members of our community regardless of sexual orientation. Safe Space faculty and staff members pledge to be confidential, non-judgmental and supportive contacts for members of the Concordia College community who may be dealing with gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transgender issues. The Safe Space Program also strives to educate the campus community about the program."

Safe Zone Program at NDSU
"The Safe Zone symbol is a message to gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender youth and their allies. A person displaying this symbol is one who will be understanding, supportive, and trustworthy if a gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transgender person needs help, advice or just someone with whom they can talk. The person displaying this symbol is also a person who can give anyone accurate information about sexual orientation issues."

NDSU offers Safe Zone Ally Training sessions several times each year; these are facilitated by NDSU faculty, staff and students.
