ANTH 220: Peoples and Cultures of Africa

In this course we’ll explore some fundamental principles necessary for an understanding of the hundreds of societies and cultures that exist in Africa today. My goal is to help promote a more analytical perspective of Africa and its place in the world, hopefully dispelling some of the prevalent stereotypes about this misunderstood continent.
