Current Show Schedule
Two Small Pieces of Glass
September 13 - November 16, 2009 Sundays at 2 pm, Mondays at 7 pm
Four hundred years ago, Galileo fitted two small pieces of glass into a tube and pointed it to the sky. The wonders that he observed, changed our view of the heavens forever. This year, astronomers are celebrating the anniversary of that event by inviting everyone to look through a telescope. Come and join two young astronomers at a star party as they learn how telescopes work, the history of telescopes, and the major discoveries made by these instruments.
Star of Wonder
December 3-21, 2009 Sundays at 2 pm and 7 pm, Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 7 pm
This show goes in search of that famous star that led the Magi to visit Bethlehem to look for the Christ child shortly after his birth. Science, religion, history, beautiful images and traditional holiday music are used to explore the mystery that continues to puzzle astronomers and theologians.
