KELLIE MEEHLHAUSE'S PHOTO ALBUM
Advocate Production Night - March 6, 2007

This is my desk. I used to be scrunched next to the printer, but then Robyn switched with me at the beginning of this semester. See the pile of papers under the box to the right of the monitor? There's a good chance that some of those news releases date back to January, but I haven't thrown them away yet because I just don't have time.

These are two views of the Advocate office. The top one is from my desk while the bottom is from the doorway. The board to the far right of the bottom picture is the infamous quote board I talked about.
This is Amanda, one of the copy editors. She usually brings in baked goodies for us, like banana bread or taco dip. She's also a huge Oprah fan (the magazine she's reading is Oprah magazine), so you never want to diss the talk show queen in front of her.
Meet Alyssa, who is now the Op-ed editor (before that the features editor) and will next year be the editor-in-chief. She really didn't want her picture taken, but I managed to sneak this one when she wasn't looking.
My savior, Heather, also known as the photo editor. This girl always turns out good photos for my page and she doesn't get angry when I say I don't have room to use them (which happens often). She also teaches dance in the F-M area.
The illustrious Lee, our editor. You have to give this guy credit because he puts up with my sarcasm and, up until about a month ago, he was the only male on staff. This means that every Tuesday night he was stuck in the office with lots of PMSy, celebrity-gossiping girls.
Samantha, another copy editor. I think her grin says it all.
Shaliza, our third and final copy editor. She started half way through last school year when I was also a copy editor.
And last but certainly not least, Robyn the sports editor. She also writes a lot for my page because she has great connections in the film studies department. One can usually find her standing next to Heather's desk because she has numerous photos to put on her page every week. That's the main reason she agreed to switch desks with me: mine is the closest to Heather.
Robyn discusses the layout of her page with Lee while Heather and Amanda look on.
Samantha and me. We have the same American lit class on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, so we're almost always discussing something to do with the class on Tuesday nights.
