Sherryse Corrow

I am a graduate student at the University of Minnesota at the Institute of Child Development. I have completed 3 years of my program and have two years left to complete my doctorate degree in child psychology. I am doing research in visual development and I am teaching undergraduate courses in child psychology, perceptual development, and infant development!

As a fixed term instructor in the School of Teaching & Learning, I teach future teachers how to create and analyze assessment in the preschool -12 schools. In addition, in my Educational Psychology courses, I educate teachers about the psychological, moral, cultural, Socio-emotional, behavioral, and biological aspects of students and the impact each domain has on their education.

Work as a Post-Doctoral fellow in a drug and alcohol intervention program for college-age youth. The ASPIRE program is rooted in Motivational Interviewing therapeutic approaches and also incorporates Stages of Change theory to help meet the student's in their place of development and readiness to change. I work as a full-time artist and a part-time post-doc. As an artist I am a sole-proprietor and focus on painting human form/figure, as well as paintings exploring aquatic themes.

I administer tests to people to determine how the brain is functioning due to an injury or a compromising disease that affects the brain. This done with all age groups. In my day-to-day job, I administer the tests and score and norm them from which the neuropsychologist makes the diagnosis.
