Tonia Downs Bagby, 1993,
lives in Williamsburg, VA where she is
a clinical psychologist for the Hampton Veterans Hospital. She
earned her master's degree from NYU and her doctorate in clinical
psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in
June 2006.
Bethany
Flaten, 2005, was hired in Feb. 2008 by Fargo's Home Instead
Senior Care as a staff coordinator.

Jarod Swant received his Ph.D. in
Pharmaceutical Sciences from NDSU in 2006. He is currently doing a
post doc at the University of Georgia.

Doug Medin, 1965,
received a 2005 Award for Distinguished Scientific Contributions
from the American Psychological Association for his work in
cognitive psychology, particularly related to understanding concepts
and categories. The list of prior winners of this award is a Who’s
Who of the biggest names in psychology research. Doug is currently a
professor at Northwestern University. His biography in the November
2005 American Psychologist (p. 764-766) describes Doug's
background which includes information about his undergraduate
experience at then Moorhead State College.

Jarod Swant received his Ph.D. in

Matthew Bailly, 1998, is a Staff
Psychologist and Assistant Professor Department of Clinical Health
Psychology at University of Manitoba. Matthew recently completed his
doctorate in clinical psychology at the University of North Dakota.
Matthew specializes in chronic pain management.
Janelle (Rogers) Moos, 1999, is a Community Response and Prevention Specialist for the North Dakota Council on Abused Women's Services in Bismarck, ND since 2002. Janelle received her B.A. in psychology and criminal justice in 1999 and was awarded her M.S. in criminal justice from Minot State University (ND) in May of 2004. Janelle is a certified STAR Instructor with the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC): Domestic Violence Train-the-Trainer Program and is a consultant with the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), where she facilitates training on Finding Funding for law enforcement agencies. Ms. Moos currently serves as Board President for the North Dakota Children’s Caucus and is a member of the North Dakota Progressive Coalition’s Leadership Council.

Tom Clark, 1972, was given a Distinguished Alumni award from MSUM on Oct. 7, 2005. Tom is the executive vice president of Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce and Metro Denver Economic Development Corporation. He earned degrees in psychology and speech pathology and audiology at MSUM and later a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Illinois-Springfield.
During the past 20 years in Denver, he served in leadership roles that resulted in the construction of Denver International Airport, the creation of the Colorado Rockies baseball team, the construction of Coors Field, the construction of the Denver Broncos new stadium—Invesco Field at Mile High––and the successful passage of FasTracks, a mass transit initiative that will result in the largest build-out of a light rail system in the history of the nation.
He began his career as a speech therapist in Minnesota, then switched to a career in Illinois state government, culminating with a gubernatorial appointment to head the State of Illinois economic development effort. He then moved to Denver as vice president of the city’s Metro Chamber of Commerce, moving up the ladder in the state government to his current position.
Named one of the nation’s Top Ten Economic Development Professionals by the Council on Urban Economic Development, he and his wife Donna Alengi have five children.

Melissa Burgard, 1994, was promoted to
central nervous system project manager at Odyssey Research, Fargo.
Melissa previously worked as a clinical research coordinator for
Odyssey.

Kathy (Knoll) Lancaster, 1994, was promoted to head research monitor at the Neuropsychiatric Research Institute (NRI) in Fargo in fall 2002. Kathy began working for NRI in 1998 as a research assistant. She lives in Fargo with her husband, Kelly, and their children.

Trina Lunstrum Volk, 2000, graduated from Pacific University School of Occupational Therapy in May. She was married to her husband, Steve, in December. They live in Forest Grove, OR.

Michael A. Harmon, 1999, is an air battle manager in the Unites States Air Force. Michael and his wife, Jessica, live in Midwest City, OK with their two sons.

Sara (Johnson) Kenney, 1999, is a clinical psychologist in a small private practice in Devils Lake. Sara received her PsyD in 2003.
