December 20, 2007

• Dr. Allen Koenig (RHPA), Presidential Search Consultant, and President Jon Quistgaard, Chair of the Presidential Search Advisory Committee, meets with Search Advisory Committee to revise the profile and timeline.  Meeting scheduled 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the CMU, Room 101.

December 6-7, 2007 

• Executive Search Consultant Firm, R. H. Perry & Associates (RHPA)- Dr. Allen Koenig will conduct focus group meetings as part of the presidential pre-search study to develop a draft of the Executive Search Profile for the next president of MSUM.  Dr. Koenig will hold OPEN FORUMS on campus to meet with various representatives and individuals on Thursday, December 6 and Friday, December 7 at the Hagen Hall Library, Rm 104.  Dr. Koenig encourages participation of faculty, staff, administration, students and the community.  Refreshments will be served.  Below is his schedule:

Thursday, December 6

Faculty  12:30 pm - 1:30 pm;  Staff  1:45 pm - 2:45 pm;  Administration  3:00 pm - 4:00 pm; Students  4:15 pm - 5:00 pm;  Community  5:15 pm - 6:15 pm

Friday, December 7

Staff  8:30 am - 9:30 am;  Faculty  9:45 am - 10:45 am;  Students  11:00 am - 12:00 pm; Community  1:00 pm - 2:00 pm;  Administration  2:15 pm - 3:15 pm

PHASE II . . .

February, 2008

• Pre-screening interviews and references for top candidates are obtained by RHPA and candidate files are updated online
  

• Search Committee Chair reviews top candidate materials online

March, 2008

• Search Counsel presents top candidates to Search Committee -- Committee selects Semi-finalists

• Search Committee interviews Semi-finalists at designated location; selects Continuing Candidates

PHASE III . . .

March, 2008

• RHPA conducts intensive due diligence on Continuing Candidates

PHASE IV . . .

March 20 - April 3, 2008

• Continuing presidential candidates are interviewed at MSUM campus.  Five candidates will be invited for a campus interview. 
  

April, 2008

• Search Counsel meets with Search Committee to review final due diligence and to assist Committee in compiling final report to the Chancellor

• Chancellor, Vice Chancellors, and selected Board Members interview selected presidential candidates
  

• Chancellor recommends the next President to the governing board

July, 2008

• New President assumes office
