Jayne Linstad
B.S. Physics, B.S. Mathematics, 2007
Systems Analyst, Cobham, Colorado Springs, CO
I am an operations research analyst to support the modeling and simulation of space-based infrared satellite systems and ground-based processing in the Missile Defense Space Warning Tool (MDST). My main responsibility is to analyze real world events and simulation data in which to recommend software design and implementation changes. My day to day duties include supporting MDST verification and validation analysis, providing constructive simulation design recommendations, writing analysis reports, interfacing with customers and warfighters, presenting technical briefings to stakeholders. The main skills I use everyday from my physics degree include programming scripts in Matlab, reading C++, working in Linux, presenting technical information in both reports and briefings, astrodynamics, orbital mechanics, and the list continues.
