You can stay out late. You can study on your own time. Freedom is good. Failing isn't. There is a time for work and a time for play. Greeks know the difference.
As students, your first priority is academic success. Fraternities and sororities offer many resources and programs to facilitate high quality learning for their members. In a fraternity or sorority, you are ultimately responsible for your own success. However other members will be able to assist you if you find yourself struggling with a class. It is likely that other members have the same major or have taken the same class. Older members can help you acclimate to resources available on campus such as the library, the computer labs, and the counseling and careers services.
Greek organizations were founded on the principles of meaningful and successful scholarship in a mutually supportive environment. MSUM sororities and fraternities strive to maintain that commitment.
