Leadership

Greek life provides an excellent place to gain experience and knowledge necessary for successful leadership. Greek organizations not only provide training in leadership principles, they are laboratories where you can test these principles. Each member is a leader, whether you're an officer, an executive, on a committee or a participant. You learn by doing. You get first hand experience in decision-making processes, managing budgets, running effective meetings, public speaking, organizing events, self responsibility and communication. Nationally, numerous chapters have leadership conferences and conventions located in various parts of the country every summer. These provide students the opportunity to meet their brothers and sisters from around the world. Regional training workshops are also provided by National Headquarters, and members are given the opportunity to learn the newest leadership techniques through the latest approaches to leadership instruction.
