Mission Statement:

The Office of Student Activities provides leadership opportunities furthering MSUM students' development and builds community through programs, activities, and student organizations.

Friendship

For many individuals, the most important component of Greek life is the lifelong friendships. The fact that members call themselves "sister" and "brother" demonstrates the sense of family that the groups provide. These bonds of brotherhood and sisterhood are not only among members of each individual chapter, but amongst chapters around the nation, due to the history and ideals that each chapter was founded upon.

By becoming a member of the Greek community, you will have the opportunity to meet other students with diverse backgrounds, similar interests, as well as new perspectives. You will support each other through day to day challenges and develop lifelong memories.

Remember, Greek membership is not conformity.  No sorority or fraternity is made up of members who are exactly alike. You do not have to compromise who you are and what you believe when you join a fraternity or sorority. Instead, your uniqueness and individuality will contribute to and improve the organization as a whole.

The Greek system combines the concept of individualism within the framework of mutual cooperation.
